Open a group class

Open a class for 2–5 learners in 3 steps — content, schedule, price & seats — then submit it for Zasu's review.

⏱ 5 min read🗓 Updated 22/10/2026

Group class: 2–5 learners study together at a fixed weekly time, each paying a seat price (usually 40–60% of the 1-on-1 price), so you earn more per hour than teaching 1-on-1. Zasu takes 15% commission, as with regular lessons.

Requirements

  • Your tutor profile has been approved.
  • At least one approved program that is accepting bookings (Tutor side — group classes are not yet open on the Expert side).
  • Each tutor can have up to 3 classes active (awaiting review, enrolling, running, paused).

Steps

  1. Step 1

In the Tutor hub, press Open a group class (Group classes card), then + Open a class

The Group classes page shows an estimate of what you receive per session with 4 learners compared with teaching 1-on-1, any “⭐ Zasu invites you to teach” invitations, and your list of classes.

  2. Step 2

Step 1/3 · Class content: choose a program, set the title, description, audience and level → Next: schedule

Class title: 8–80 characters, saying clearly who it is for and what they will learn. What learners will study: what each session covers, how you teach, what learners get — shown publicly and editable even after approval.

For and Entry level: tick the options that fit so learners can filter to the right class.

  3. Step 3

Step 2/3 · Schedule: choose the mode, length, weekdays, start time and first session → Next: price & seats

Ongoing: no end date; learners buy a pack = sessions per week × 4 and renew. Full course: a fixed 4–36 sessions; learners buy the whole course and the class closes automatically after the last session.

Length 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 minutes (plus a 10-minute break blocked on your calendar). All selected days use the same start time. The suggested price and the price check adjust automatically to the length you choose.

The First session must be at least 3 days from today so there is time to enrol learners. By default, sessions that fall on public holidays are skipped; tick Teach on public holidays if you want to teach them.

When you save, the system checks for clashes with your 1-on-1 lessons and your other classes over the next 90 days — if there is one, it shows the first clash so you can change the time.

  4. Step 4

Step 3/3 · Price & seats: set the seat price, class size and trial → Submit for review

Price per seat per session is at least 20,000₫; the system suggests 40–60% of your 1-on-1 price. The You receive per session after commission box is pre-calculated for 2, 3, 4 and 5 learners.

Minimum seats / Maximum seats (2–5). If the minimum is not reached 24 hours before the first session, the class is cancelled automatically and learners are refunded — no fault for you.

One-session trial: Off / 50% of seat price / Free — lets learners try one session before buying a pack.

Check the Card preview to see how the class appears to learners. Not finished yet? Press Save draft.

  5. Step 5

Wait for Zasu's review (usually within 1 business day)

Once approved you get “✅ Your group class is approved”: the class moves to Enrolling, sessions for the next 8 weeks are generated in advance, and learners can enrol.

If it is declined, the class page shows the reason (unclear description, unreasonable price, unworkable schedule, missing certificate…) — press Edit class, then Submit for review again.
